The Bedford, VA area is lovely! It's home to Smith Mountain Lake with over 500 miles of shoreline, the National D-Day Memorial (quite well done, IMO), kitcshy wineries, and some wandering Angus cattle. Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, right off of Skyline Drive/Blue Ridge Parkway.
What About Bob, the movie, was filmed at SML and in the Bedford area.
Come visit, you can borrow the boat for a day out on the lake, and park in our extra driveway. Or, if we haven't sold the other house, you can park there and make use of the indoor plumbing!
I do like "What About Bob?" (And just how do you punctuate that? It's not a question, so it looks silly that way. . . )

There's lots of Virginia that I haven't explored. And I do have to admit that indoor plumbing is very, very, handy.
